Antique Tri Colored Gold and Pearl Floral Motif Necklace-
This very lovely and quite unusual, early-twentieth century pendant necklace artfully combines Arts & Crafts and Art Deco aesthetic traits. This pretty Victorian inspired necklace would be a lovely accessory with a bridal dress or for any special occasion. It is tri colored and has a floral motif. The delicate chain allows the pendant to be he highlight of this piece. Inspiration for the Black Hills Gold grape and leaf designs in three colors of gold is credited to a prospector/goldsmith named Henri LeBeau. These designs began in the mining towns of California during its Gold Rush days in 1849 and worked their way through the mining camps in Idaho, Nevada, Montana and Colorado. Henri LeBeau brought these designs from Montana to South Dakota in 1876, when he opened up a shop in Central city.
