Vintage Sterling Silver Multi Stone Turquoise Cuff Bracelet-
This multi stne turquopise cuff has a great look but the workmanship on the piece is a little less than I normally see on these bracelets. Despite this fact the cuff is a great price and look . The bracelet can be layered with others or worn solo. It has a nice span of stones that graduiate in size and it will go with any outfit or occasion. Perfect for spring! Turquoise was a ceremonial gem and a medium of exchange for Native American tribes in the southwestern US. They also used it in their jewelry and amulets. The Apaches believed that turquoise attached to a bow or firearm increased a hunter’s or warrior’s accuracy. The earliest record of turquoise being used in jewelry or in ornaments is from Egypt. There, turquoise has been found in royal burials over 6000 years old. About 4000 years ago, miners in Persia produced a blue variety of turquoise with a "sky blue" or "robin's-egg blue" color. This material was very popular and traded through Asia and into Europe. This is the source of the term "Persian Blue" color.
