This ruby ring has a great look to it and is well made. The center pear shaped ruby has great color and is nice quality and the side diamonds add a little psarkle to the piece. The ring has a low profile for easy everyday wear. The diamonds are channel set in the split shank. Ruby is the birthstone for July. Rubies symbolize power and protection. When worn as a talisman, ruby was believed to help protect warriors in battle. One more modern allusion to this legend is in The Wizard of Oz. Dorthy's ruby slippers were thought to protect her from evil. Since ancient times, rubies have symbolized passion, protection, and wealth.
