Vintage Bakelite Fedtro Precision Map Measure and Compass With Brass Ring -
I love the look of this vintage compass and it has so many cool features for map measuring. What a great piece for someone that is into travel and maps. Precision “Map Measure and Compass” came with either a brass bezel and hanger, or cheaper alloy on later versions Based in Long Island, New York, USA, Fedtro Inc. engineered and produced their own home-grown products. while also importing electronic goods such as megaphones, house and car alarms, intercoms and parts for radios from Japan. The distinctive Fedtro trademark was first used with one of their map measures in 1962, however they never actually registered the mark until 29 August 1967.
