Vintage Micro Mosaic Bright Colored Flower Pin -
This Tessera brooch pin is made of vintage Italian glass from 1920's. It has a beautiful textured gold toned frame. The subject matter appears to be floral motif. The back has Made in Italy so and it has an old safety clip style catch for pin stem. It has great colors, greens, blues, reds, white and even some yellow. This would look great on so many things from hats to a jean jacket!
Technique's for making tesserae micro-mosaic jewelry can vary, but a common one is melting glass, pulling it into thin rods, and cutting it into miniscule pieces.
