This unique lapel pin is so interesting and I can't seem to find any others like it. It must have been a lapel pin for someone that may have worked in the diamond district in New York City. I love that it is in sterling and set with an emerald and not some cheap looking occupational pin. It's so classy! The Diamond District was born in 1795 on Maiden Lane, a street a few blocks from present Wall Street. The area has been known as “The Diamond District” since before the 1900s when Jewish immigrants from Europe started setting up shop there.
